Deficit management and workforce planning support is available to schools where the school is not able to manage within their allocated budget. In 2007 the Gippsland Region will provide support in these circumstances through a combination of management support and financial support.

Assistance will be available for schools that experience circumstances which create a budgetary shortfall that they are unable to fund without significant adverse impact on their student program. Assistance will be provided through appropriate management advice and support, and either short term or longer term financial support.

Principals should contact the regional office as soon as possible if they believe the school will require Workforce Bridging assistance for 2008.
