Following discussions with the fire authorities the following schools will reopen on Friday 13 February:

Due to potential fire danger, road closures and general community impact the following schools will remain closed for the remainder of this week (Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 February):

A counselling hotline has been established for those parents whose children need to remain home for the remainder of this week. If families require counselling principals will advise parents of this phone number.
Schools have been asked to provide parents with school work the children can do while at home.
The reasons for the above school closures include:
• Some schools may be unsafe to travel to, due to roads requiring to be cleared and inspected by VicRoads
• Threat of continuing fires
• Smoke concerns
• Schools needing to be inspected to ensure they are safe
• Possible water contamination
